Here are three great websites that offer young readers the opportunity to connect with books and each other:  scholastic.com/summerreading lets kids send e-cards with a literary theme and correspond with children  across the country all reading the same book, kids-space.org is filled with stories, poems, and other compositions written by kids for kids and your child can post her own too, and rif.org/readingplanet is filled with activities, contests and games to meet every child’s level and area of interest.
